Insurance

The client and each service provider are required to secure and maintain liability insurance as outlined below:

All service providers/suppliers, excluding florists and musicians, must possess general liability insurance with a minimum coverage of $1,000,000 per incident for injury and general liabilities. This insurance should name the event as necessary and include the United States Government as an additional insured party. For service providers involved in alcohol-related services, such as caterers, an additional $2,000,000 in specialized general liability insurance is mandated for alcohol service. This policy must name Event Emissary and the United States Government as additionally insured parties.

The client is obligated to hold general liability insurance of at least $2,000,000 concerning the event. This policy should name Event Emissary and the United States Government as additionally insured parties.

Certificates of insurance should be submitted via fax to 202-786-0022. Please refrain from duplicating certificates.

Will access to the facilities be granted if the stipulated coverage isn't obtained?

The client is required to furnish insurance certificates a minimum of 30 days prior to the event date. Failure to submit a certificate by the specified date will lead to the cancellation of insurance coverage negotiations.
